But if you make it possible to play like a physical board game, where one person owns it and others can join, I believe it would be a wild success. You are very unlikely to encourage many people to purchase a full copy of this on Steam because they have to do so in order to play with friends, since it is just too expensive and people pick something else instead. And people who enjoy it will then go on to buy their own full copy so they can host games with their friend groups. It will mean that people decide to purchase the game for a virtual party with friends since it's a reasonable $20 upfront cost, instead of an unfair $100 which just makes people decide to play a different game with their friends. This will grow the community around this game as a viable replacement for the physical game in these strange times where we can't go and physically play with each other in-person. Please add a way for players to join (but not host) a multiplayer game without purchasing the game. That pricing model is just not in the spirit of board games, and the entire board game industry would cease to exist if it worked like that because it would be too restrictive to work. During the pandemic, lots of players have been looking for ways to play this awesome board game remotely with friends, but requiring all five players to buy a copy on Steam for $20 a pop is just prohibitively expensive, especially if you might be playing the game with a different set of friends next time and all those new friends would have to also buy it. Board games have a high upfront cost, but they let you play with friends at a party if one owner has a copy.
